The Rabat Astronomical Observatory is a scientific center dedicated to the study of astronomy and the popularization of space sciences. Located on a plateau at an altitude of 400 meters, near the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah dam, it enjoys ideal conditions for observing stars and celestial phenomena thanks to its clear skies.
Founded in 1999, this observatory is one of Morocco’s main astronomical centers, alongside the Oukaïmeden Observatory. It is open to researchers and the general public, offering activities such as conferences, observation workshops with telescopes, and sky reading sessions. These events allow visitors to discover the mysteries of the universe and deepen their knowledge of the stars and space phenomena.
