The Exotic Gardens of Bouknadel offer a unique botanical getaway just 12 miles from Rabat. Created in 1952 by horticultural engineer Marcel François, these gardens cover 11 acres and feature more than 600 plant species and 80 animal species from five continents. Visitors can explore themed areas representing regions such as Japan, China, Brazil, Congo, and Polynesia, complete with bridges, ponds, and huts. A vivarium houses snakes, lizards, and turtles, adding an educational dimension to the visit. This peaceful place is ideal for a family stroll or an educational discovery of global biodiversity.
